Elco wasn’t born out of a genius idea. It was born out of experience — some hard-won, some painful, all real.

Josh and Bec del Rio started Elco as a radical experiment to build a company backwards starting with people and purpose instead of a specific idea. Josh had risen fast — managing billions at a hedge fund by his late 20s — but found himself wondering, is this it?  It didn’t feel like winning.

So we stepped off the traditional path and started building for ourselves. We’ve scaled multiple companies to 7-figures and beyond.

We’ve built teams. Systems. Real, sustainable traction.

But we’ve also earned our share of scars:

• 4 ventures we consciously closed, sold or exited each one taught us something vital
• Partnerships that showed promise but lost alignment over time

That’s why Elco exists not to preach perfection, but to offer something grounded. We know how complex this journey is. How lonely it can feel. How fast things can break when you grow too quickly or with the wrong people.
